Nature provides an opportunity in each season to wow us with beauty! Fall colors typically peak the third week in September, a must see for a Sunday drive. Mid-June the wild flowers blanket the mountain bursting with color. Spring fishing is the Best! Abundant wildlife photo opportunities in every season. Winter snow sparkles like diamonds under the brilliant blue sky.

The forest roads 534, 611, and 611a and many others offer enjoyable riding. Remember, these roads are shared with vehicle traffic and all safety rules including speed limits are applicable to ATV traffic. Please stay on the trails and preserve the beauty for future generations.

The Lone cone and Black Mesa are excellent for riding. The Norwood Sledders Club grooms trails In the Beaver Park area. They have a poker run in February. Join the Colorado Snowmobilers Association and protect your right to ride public land.

Our cabins are available for winter leases for the snowmobile season from 11/20 to 5/1.

Fishing is what groundhog is all about! The lake is continually stocked.

2016 Fishing Report

Fish caught per gillnet hour were the highest recorded in the 23 year survey record. Despite the abundance of fish in the reservoir the relative weight or “plumpness” of the fish was approaching 100% relative to other populations of trout suggesting that food resources are adequate and that the stocking rate is appropriate. HXH are a rainbow trout strain, HXN are a cutthroat rainbow cross, BEL are rainbows, SRN are cutthroats.

A simple boat is boat with an open hull, no compartments or containers and a single outboard motor. CPW exempt watercraft will apply: Canoes, Kayaks, Belly boats, rafts . Marine propulsion systems that are gasoline, diesel or electric powered must be inspected regardless of the watercraft type.
Boat ramp access will be the same as the convenience store hours, when someone is available to allow access. A $10 gate fee will apply.
Store Hours: Mon - Thu 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
Fri & Sat 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
Sun 8:30 am to 5 pm
$20 inspection fee will apply if you do not arrive pre-inspected. Dry boat storage available for $15/week, $40/month or $150 seasonal from 5/15 to 11/15
