Spring Is Here!

We want to explode with excitement like "Spring is here!" Come join us for our Youth Fishing Tournament on Saturday June 1st sponsored by the Cortez Kiwanis Group supporting our youth in our communities. No registration fee, a goody bag of various bait for the first 25 participants to register. The Colorado Parks and Wildlife will sponsor a free fishing clinic at 9:00. Come sharpen your skills and bring the whole family, it is free fishing weekend in Colorado! Grilled burgers and hot dogs available for picnic lunch at Store.your stay at Groundhog Lake RV Park and Campground.
Particulars:
Participants 16 years and under
Prizes for: largest fish in inches, total weight of 4 fish, and a prize for the youngest participant with a catch.
Registration: 7:30 to 9:30, Weigh-in at 1:00 pm.

Groundhog Lake
RV Park and Campground

surrounding the lake and great hunting and photo opportunities
abound. Just one mile east you will enter the 2 million acre
San Juan Forest, where boundless wilderness is combined with
countless hunting and recreational areas. So whether you come to enjoy the great fishing, the
trophy hunting, the tremendous photo opportunities, or choose to just
relax and enjoy the magnificent vistas, you will not be disappointed

Groundhog Lake
RV Park and Campground
has
both RV sites and Lakeside tent sites available. You can
choose between electric only or full hook-up RV sites.
Cabin
rentals are also available and dogs are always welcome. The new convenience store, liquor store, and shower facilities
are open for your convenience.
There is also dump station available. Sites are available from May 15th through November 15th.
Just north of Groundhog Lake RV Park & Campground lies the
Uncompahgre National Forest, an excellent area for big game hunting.
In fact, dozens of state records have been set for elk, mule deer,
and wild turkey in the area surrounding Groundhog Lake!

licenses are not sold at the store and we do not accept debit or
credit cards.
